Without those details, investigators often cannot determine whether a reported object was an ordinary aircraft viewed under unusual visual conditions or something genuinely unidentified.
Why This Mechanism Matters in Missouri UFO History
The value of the hovering-aircraft explanation is not that it solves every report. Rather, it helps explain why sincere witnesses can describe extraordinary behaviour from ordinary objects.
