The Suspended-Model Reconstruction
Digital re-examinations conducted by Antoine Cousyn, François Louange and Geoff Quick using IPACO image-analysis software took the wire argument further than earlier investigators had done.
Their reconstruction proposed a small model suspended beneath the lower power line by a thin thread. In this reconstruction, the object’s apparent motion between the two photographs does not represent a large craft manoeuvring through the sky. Instead, it reflects:
- A slight change in camera position.
- Minor rotation of the suspended object.
- Small wind-driven movement of the thread.
